Before Your Arrival


Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and obtain a Korean visa before coming.

WCTE 2018 provides invitation letter to support you in obtaining a visa to enter the Republic of Korea. To receive an invitation letter, your registration with full payment are required. For more information, click here.


Getting travel insurance in your country prior to visiting Korea is recommended.

Insurance is also available at the Incheon International Airport.

Tipping is not regular practice in Korea.

Value-added Tax and service charges are usually included in the consumer price. However, some hotels and luxurious restaurants may not be inclusive of service charges and VATs.

Public Transportation

Seoul's public transportation system is well known for its cleanness and cheap fare. By using buses and subways, there is practically no place that you cannot reach in Seoul.

Fares are based on distance traveled, and the standard fare(up to 10km) is 1,250 won for adults; additional 100 won is charged for every 5km.
